Booking + Cancellation Policy Update:

To keep therapy consistent and effective, sessions are booked in blocks of 6. This helps your child build momentum, keeps your time slot reserved, and allows us to plan goals more intentionally.

You’ll still be charged per session (not upfront for all 6). Sessions in a block can’t be canceled or refunded, but they can be rescheduled or made up within a reasonable timeframe — just reach out and we’ll do our best to find a new spot.

If you need to cancel or reschedule an existing appointment, please call (587) 449-0673 or email hello@dreampediatric.ca so we can help find a new time that works.

Thank you for helping us make therapy steady, flexible, and meaningful for your child! 💛

— The Dream Pediatric Team

Please contact your therapist directly if you need to cancel or reschedule a weekend appointment time. For Sarah B, please email sarah@dreampediatric.ca. For Khadija, please email khadija@ualberta.ca. For Sarah M, please email moncions@ualberta.ca. Thank You!

A Child Development Assistant offers an affordable option to families seeking intervention support in-home and clinic. They work under the supervision of qualified clinicians as part of a multidisciplinary team to support children and their families. The CDA helps children build skills they may not naturally develop through everyday routines by providing structured, consistent practice in targeted areas. Through guided, hands-on support, the assistant reinforces therapy goals and promotes steady developmental progress within a supportive environment.

In addition, the CDA collaborates closely with parents to explore underlying factors or barriers within the family system that may impact a child’s emotional regulation. They work directly with families to develop individualized, practical strategies that strengthen the parent–child relationship and foster secure attachment.

Child Development Assistants are also trained to provide affordable, in-home respite services, tailored to meet the unique needs of each family, ensuring comprehensive and compassionate support.

Our Child Development Assistants and respite workers are trained and certified Early Childhood Educators with experience supporting children with diverse needs, including Autism. Each session combines safe, high-quality care with intentional skill-building, emotional regulation support, and reinforcement of positive daily routines.

Services are individualized to your child’s strengths and goals, while giving caregivers the restorative time they need. Our team collaborates with families to create practical, personalized plans that support both short- and long-term development.
